Pope Francis Just Married A Couple 36,000 Feet In The Air!

Pope Francis has just joined a different kind of mile-high club!

According to the Associated Press, on a Thursday LATAM Airlines flight from Santiago to Iquique, the religious leader actually married two flight attendants — bride Paula Podest and groom Carlos Ciuffardi — 36,000 feet in the air!

It all started when the flight crew gathered at the front of the plane to take a photo with His Holiness. The couple then told the Bishop of Rome they were married in a 2010 civil service, but were unable to have a church ceremony because of the Chile earthquake that year.

The groom dished:

“We told him that we are husband and wife, that we have two daughters and that we would have loved to receive his blessing… All of a sudden he asked us if we were married in the church, too… He liked us and he asked, ‘Do you want me to marry you?”‘

After a Vatican official drafted up an official though handwritten marriage certificate, Francis performed the first-ever airborne papal wedding, with the head of the airline serving as the witness.

According to the couple — who have two children, ages six and three — the Pope offered them some valuable advice. The bride recounts:

“The wedding rings shouldn’t be too tight, because they’ll torture you, but if they’re too loose, they’ll fall off. So we have to be careful.”

What a horrible week for Katy Perry!

In addition to having “tough conversations” with Capitol Music Group CEO and Chairman Steve Barnett, the Teenage Dream singer is reportedly “always late” to the set of American Idol!

Sadly, the 33-year-old is involved in another controversy, where she is being accused of stealing an artist’s work!

On Wednesday, Dom Sebastian shared a post on Instagram saying the Santa Barbara-native flat out stole his 2012 artwork, and used it for the single cover of Chained To The Rhythm, the Hot Chip remix.

To make matters worse, Miz Perry is allegedly trying to profit off of Sebastian’s piece by selling it as a $35 print.

The artist wrote:

“@katyperry has stolen my artwork (this piece is from 2012) and used it on her single cover – I was never contacted by her or anyone from her team or label @capitolrecords. What’s more is that Katy has been selling my artwork as her own, as merchandise on her store, and through other outlets, as a $35 print. I’m shocked that @katyperry and @capitolrecords think it is acceptable to lift my work directly from my website and use it as they please without paying me or even contacting me. #exposed”

Lucy Hale Alludes To Personal Sexual Assault Experience In Painful Message

Actress Lucy Hale has sparked concern after posting then quickly deleting a message about suffering sexual assault on social media.
The Pretty Little Liars star published the alarming note to her Instagram and Twitter accounts on Thursday, prompting fans to worry about her well-being.
“I deleted it from Instagram. But this needs to be heard,” she tweeted in a post attached a cryptic note that read: “I never understood sexual assault until tonight. I always sympathized, but never felt the pain of it until right now. My dignity and pride was broken. I am completely at a loss of words.”
“I feel for anyone that has felt this pain that I feel right now,” she added. “But I promise. I will not let a moment go by that I don’t try to make a difference.”
Lucy did not offer anymore insight into the alleged sexual abuse she appears to have detailed in the post.
The 28-year-old has not had a safe start in the New Year – she was the victim of a burglary on January 5.
TMZ reported a thief smashed one of Lucy’s front windows and stole jewelry and purses worth an estimated $15,000 .
“Thanks for all the kind words about my house… luckily no one was hurt,” Hale tweeted in response to concerned fans who offered their support following the theft. “Sad to lose some sentimental items, but thankful to be safe.”
Lucy isn’t the only celebrity burglary target in recent months – Jason Derulo, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Alanis Morissette have also had their Los Angeles area homes broken into.

Katy Perry Stung By A Jellyfish

Katy Perry is nursing a nasty jellyfish sting after showing off her flyboarding skills.
The Roar singer posted footage of herself balancing above the waves on a flyboard on Instagram on Thursday, confidently blowing kisses to friends and even mooning the camera.
But her ocean trip wasn’t a complete success.
“…when I thought I was winning 2018 and then fell into a jellyfish. kewl,” she captioned the footage.
She also posted a shot of her injury.

Rachel Brosnahan: ‘I’ve Struggled With Woody Allen Film Decision For Two Years’

Golden Globe winner Rachel Brosnahan has become the latest actress to offer up her regret about working with director Woody Allen.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, 27, teamed up with Woody for Amazon’s 2016 series Crisis in Six Scenes and admits she has struggled with her involvement on the show ever since, thanks to ongoing sexual assault allegations against the filmmaker made by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, her brother Ronan, and mom Mia Farrow.
“I had a great experience working on that project,” Rachel told The Hollywood Reporter, “but I do have to take this opportunity to say that, for me, I have really struggled with the decision to do that project for a long time.
“Honestly, it’s the decision that I have made in my life that is the most inconsistent with everything I stand for and believe in, both publicly and privately. And while I can’t take it back, it’s important to me, moving forward, to make decisions that better reflect the things that I value and my worldview.”
Mira Sorvino, Greta Gerwig and Rebecca Hall have also recently gone public with their regrets about working with Woody Allen and vowed never to work with him again.
Hall, who teamed up with the director for Vicky Cristina Barcelona and new film A Rainy Day in New York, has donated her salary from her latest movie to the Time’s Up anti-harassment movement.
The actress took to Instagram on Friday to explain she now regrets signing on to star in A Rainy Day in New York and admits she feels terrible about agreeing to work with Woody after his estranged daughter accused him of molesting her.
Allen has insisted once again he never molested his adopted daughter following her first televised interview over the claims.
In the early ’90s, Dylan’s mother Mia Farrow accused her ex-partner of allegedly abusing Dylan, who was seven at the time. The filmmaker has always denied the allegations and has never been charged with a crime.
The accusations have continued to hit headlines ever since Dylan publicly renewed the claims in 2014, especially recently, when Dylan began calling out actors supporting the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements, which tackles sexual abuse and harassment, despite appearing in Allen’s movies.
Her first televised interview about the claims aired on CBS This Morning on Thursday, and Allen responded with a statement to CBS News, stating that the allegations were thoroughly investigated by two organizations for months and they concluded no molestation had taken place and suggested Dylan was coached by her mother to tell the story.
“Dylan’s older brother Moses has said that he witnessed their mother doing exactly that – relentlessly coaching Dylan, trying to drum into her that her father was a dangerous sexual predator,” he said. “It seems to have worked – and, sadly, I’m sure Dylan truly believes what she says.
“But even though the Farrow family is cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time’s Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation, that doesn’t make it any more true today than it was in the past. I never molested my daughter – as all investigations concluded a quarter of a century ago.”
